Learning the piano teaches discipline, exercises the brain in unique ways, and primes you for learning many other instruments as well. Lessons are easy, affordable and appropriate for anyone above the age of 6, even adults can learn.

What To Expect

  • Learning to do something new takes time and commitment, and it is imperative to learn the right way. That’s why we focus on building hand muscle strength, sight-reading, ear training, and muscle memory.

Through lesson instruction and take-home work, students will quickly and effectively learn the most important fundamentals in piano playing, setting them up for a lifetime of success in music.

  • Theory is the science of music. It’s the reasoning behind why certain chords sound good together, and others don’t. It’s how musicians can seem to just improvise a masterpiece, or play a song they’ve heard once perfectly.

Usually music theory is reserved for later years of education in later high school, but we’ve found beginning with theory is more effective and more fun, therefor it is a foundation of our teaching curriculum.

  • While we focus heavily on theory, we also work through song books with students to give realistic, attainable goals that scale with the student’s experience.

These books make learning more fun for younger students, and are just as useful in helping older students master the basics and fundamentals.

  • While bookwork and scales are important and necessary, learning an instrument wouldn’t mean much if you never got to use your newfound gift.

We focus on developing musical skills for real-world application, like playing in a band, becoming an accompanist, performer, recording artist, and more.

Our connections in our community reach far and wide, and there are many opportunities for our students to contribute to the local music scene.
